We spent a little time shooting some guns.

Genoa

Richard, Neddy and Granny came for a quick weekend visit.  We went to Genoa.  It is the oldest town in Nevada.  We took a tour of one of the first homes built.  There were some neat things inside the home to look at.

Virginia City

Greg and Laura Tulett stopped through Reno for a day and we met up with them.  We spent the day at Virginia City.  It is an old western town near Reno.  They had a lot going on.  There was a civil war interaction and we saw a gun show.  We had a great time even though it was a short visit.

The Birthday Buddies!

We went to dinner with the Charlie and Trish Gilmore and Brent and Jennifer Petersen for the last time for awhile. We celebrate Trish, Brian and Brent's birthday every Sept 10.  The Gilmore's are moving to Idaho.  We will miss you!

Hiking in Lassen National Park

On the last weekend in August, there was a free pass into the National Parks.  We took advantage of that free pass and a nice afternoon and headed out for a hike!

We first hiked to Boiling Springs Lake

We then hiked to Terminal Geyser.  It was really a neat hike!  Cool geyser as well! 

High School Days
